8/29/09 Have recently been told that I am a bit independant. Lol....actually think they probably meant that I was a huge pain in the hind end. Not sure why my profile is still up here. I think it is probably pretty safe to say that since I have been on this site and am still single after all of this time, I am probably undateable. Just curious, if you take the time to read this, what makes a woman undateable for you? I think I fall in the average range, just being honest...I enjoy spending time at home puttering around the house, sitting on the porch having a cup of coffee...talking and laughing with friends, watching a movie, or in the kitchen making things that make the house smell good. I like an occasional night out, like to dance, go for drives, listen to music. Thinking it might be nice to have someone to share time with.6/1/2009: I am sitting here this morning, lucky enough to have a Monday off, and thinking. Throwing all caution into the wind, are there any truly good men left who aren't already attached? Sometimes it feels like I am waiting for a good guy to come along and sweep me off my feet, and that isn't the case. I am not looking for a handsome prince or a champion. In all honesty, I don't need to be saved, just tired of experiencing the good things of life alone. 5/23/2009: Went to a mediocre chinese buffet...my fortune cookie was a good one. 'Many pleasurable and memorable adventures are in store for you!' Kinda nice don't you think.If I was placing an add it would read:Single, full time employed, self sufficient, funny, curious, sometimes bold, happy person....open to the possibility that life is full of adventure and new experiences.I have been thinking about what should go here. The reality is I'm not really sure that anyone takes the time to read them.I am a happy person. By this I mean that I wake up most mornings with a song in my mind and it just seems to come out, before I ever make it to the shower I am humming away. The rest of my day usually follows that, it takes a lot to make me frown.I am not going to say I am 'looking', I hate that term, is more that I am open to the possibility of meeting a person that I want to share my time with. What that means is, I am not just 'looking' for someone. It goes a bit deeper than that.How many of us have an epiphany? A day where you have a sudden thought that makes you wonder how in the world did I really end up here? That's where I am right now. How did I end up single at 43? Silly question I know...but at one point I was married, then I wasn't. But part of what I took away from my marriage was the kids....and when you have children running around under foot it is easy to forget that you are doing it alone...because you are never alone.IF you have made it this far...lol...I like a good book, LOVE road trips, not much for doing yard work, but really enjoy the outdoors, I like a good movie, usually action, suspense, drama, and yes I like the girl moveis toothough I haven't watched a horror movie since 1981. I love to cook, I think it's the process of taking things you would never think of eating the way they are and turning them into something that a person has a hard time walking past without wanting to stop for a taste.I'm thinking maybe a date wouldn't be so bad...had taken a break from it for awhile. But what the heck...you won't meet anyone if you don't open your eyes and look around. Is simple, I am a fairly normal person....looking for that fairly normal person. No one is the same all of the time. That's part of the fun of meeting someone new...the chance to discover who they are. I could put anything here....it could be who I really am, who I wish I were, or who I think people want to meet. So, the only way to know for sure is to say hello.
